2008 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship Hartford Golf Club July 21-26 This is an international event with 156 of the top juniors from around the world competing. Applications for volunteers are now being accepted. Please visit the Championship website www.2008usgirlsjunior.org Position descriptions and online registration forms are available on the website. If you like to walk and watch great golf, please consider volunteering as a walking scorer. The course will be set up at 6,300 yards - a combination of the men's blue and white tees. The First Company Governor's Foot Guard Board of Trustees is holding their fifth annual golf tournament on June 27, 2008 at Blue Fox Run golf course in Avon, Connecticut and we would like to take this opportunity to invite your members to participate in it. The cost is $125 per player or $500 per foursome which includes 18 holes of golf, the use of a cart, lunch and refreshments at the clubhouse turn and a grand buffet immediately following golf. Registration begins at 9:30 AM and coffee and doughnuts will be served. Play begins with a shotgun start at 11:00 and scramble format. Many prizes will be available and we will have many raffle prizes if players wish to participate. More details... |

probably know, Esther Norton , my beloved best friend, formerly of
Guilford, CT and also Treasurer of CWGA for many years, recently died in
Florida. I have been notified by her granddaughter, Lisa Kamen about the
