NEJ/CWGA New Website
The website team is pleased to announce that beginning this spring; members
can purchase CWGA logoed items through a new website designed especially for
us. The link to this new site can be found on the cwga.org homepage or
by going directly to
www.nejinc.com/cwga
. This venture is a continuation of our relationship with NEJ, Inc who
has provided us with logoed items in the past. The new NEJ/CWGA
website can now offer our members more options for clothing and
*logoed golf balls at competitive prices as
well as limited-time special offers. Picture your team all dressed in
the same color CWGA polos and hats for your President’s Cup Matches!
You can even choose to have a different colored CWGA logo than the
traditional green or white (providing the item is not for use in the CT-RI
Matches or Endicott). Please take a moment to visit the new site and
let us know what you think.
*Regarding the logoed golf balls – NEJ, Inc.
must purchase the logoed golf balls 12 dozen at a time. The vote to
finance the advance purchase of the golf balls did not pass in the last CWGA
Board meeting. As a result, although CWGA logoed golf balls will still
be available for purchase by the dozen, NEJ will wait until they receive
orders for 12 dozen before they place an order with the company that
supplies them.
2008 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship

Volunteers Needed
A very exciting event is coming to Connecticut this July.
The United States Golf Association will be conducting the 60th
U.S. Girls’ Junior Golf Championship July 21-26 at the
Hartford Golf Club in West
Hartford.
Approximately 900 players from several countries will attempt to qualify
this spring at various U.S. locations for one of the 156 spots available in
the Championship. They will be
competing on a course set up at 6,300 yards – a combination of the blue and
white tees. These young ladies
can really play and it will be thrilling to have them here for a week.
Approximately 400 volunteers will be needed to successfully host this event
and we could really use your support!
How about becoming a “walking scorer” for a group for just one round?
Junior volunteers welcome! Please visit
www.2008usgirlsjunior.org
for a list of volunteer opportunities and a form to sign-up.
Please note that taking on
just one shift as a volunteer will be an enormous help.
To thank you for your time, volunteers will be provided with
breakfast and /or lunch depending on the time of their shift.
*Thank you for your help!
