Beginning in 2017 there will be a Connecticut Women's Player of the Year, the award named in honor of Liz Janangelo Caron, who had an outstanding amateur career, and is now a professional golfer. The player who has accumulated the most points earned in the tournaments, including qualifiers for USGA events, listed below will be named the player of the year. To be eligible for the Women's Player of the Year a competitor must have competed in at least one Connecticut major championship defined as the CT Women's Open Championship, Women's Amateur Championship, Hartford Women's Open, CWGA Championship, and SNEWGA Championship.
