CWGA Championship at Mill River Country Club - August 5-7, 2025
It was three spectacular days at Mill River country club in Stratford, Connecticut! Our match play event coincided with our two day stroke play junior championship .Special thanks to team Basson; Brenda (major chairwoman) has all the details for our major events covered and Steve has all the rules committed to memory (well it seems that way).Cindy Ahern (junior chairwoman) love of our juniors is infectious. She is a fine example of the spirit of golf! All The staff at Mill River treated us like members, even the wild coyote pups on the course were polite.

CWGA vs SNEWGA Association Matches at Blackhawk - July 30, 2025
Thank you all for coming out to play in the above event, and enduring some pretty steamy temps in our effort to win back the trophy. We would like to extend a special thanks to Karen Kiely for her many efforts in coordinating this year's competition, and for her most helpful notes, and to Lisa Fern-Boros and Sarah Lane for their assistance in nailing down details and providing golf genius expertise in the preparations. Lastly, we would like to express our gratitude to Priscilla Wargo who came to the rescue and stepped in to cover a last minute emergency cancellation so our team would be complete.
Although things did not go our way in the end today, we gave it a good shot, remained good sports throughout, and we looked great!
We'll get 'em next year!
Shamble Two BB of Foursome at Wethersfield, July 22, 2025
It was a fabulous day at Wethersfield C.C. - July 22, 2025 for the Four Player Shamble. Thanks to Joe Latino, head PGA professional and his staff took very good care of our players and Ben Newfang, the superintendent with his dog also on the job! The course was in great condition
CWGA collected $730 for the CWGA Scholarship! There was cash on course competitions and a 50/50 raffle to benefit our future scholars. Thank-you Jackie C, Michelle M & Sarah L for handling the details and awarding the prizes!

It was a full field at NHCC for the stableford format Medallion competition.

Solheim Cup at Highfield - June 9, 2025
Camp Highfield was in session for “Summer Fun”
Our very own Mel Larkin was the head camp counselor to keep all us gals well behaved for the Special activities of the day. The weather was not quite summer-like but all 27 holes were completed where the PINK team competed against the BLUE team. Congratulations to the PINK team for beating the BLUE team.
Two Player Scramble at Ellington Ridge CC - May 20, 2025
Tuesday, the CWGA held a 2-ball scramble at Ellington CC. It was a brisk and windy start, but it turned out to be a cool spring day. Thank you to Scott Vroman, the head professional, and all the staff at Ellington CC.
